CLIENT: PIASC (in-house)
PIASC likes to wow their printer members every year with a special New Years card. I decided to up the ante for 2020 and hand-illustrate portraits of every single PIASC employee! This was one of the most time-consuming in-house projects I have taken on, but it was incredibly rewarding.
Illustrations were first drawn in pencil and then drawn over as vectors in Adobe Illustrator. The design of the card was created in Adobe InDesign. The piece was printed using a XEROX Iridesse Press, which can print with special effects toners. I chose to use a clear overlay in the design to highlight design elements and list the department of each employee on top of their portrait. Looking at the design file, you can see the clear areas laid out in green.
